John Hendriks is a Vice President with Farber Financial Group.
John’s practice focuses on corporate insolvency and restructuring, distressed financial advisory services and corporate consultative advisory services.
John joined Farber Financial Group in 2002, bringing 11 years of insolvency and restructuring experience from a major accounting firm. He has acted for a wide variety of large to mid-sized corporations and their creditors; and, in forensic proceedings to trace and recover assets in Canada and internationally. He has acted as privately and court-appointed receiver and interim receiver; as trustee under BIA (Business Insolvency Act) proposals and as Trustee in Bankruptcy John has also acted as the Vice President, Finance of an Internet start-up that was eventually sold to a publicly-traded U.S. company.
John has extensive experience in many industries, especially in real estate, hospitality, manufacturing and retail. Notable assignments include: acting as Trustee in Bankruptcy under Part XII of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA) for a group of security companies; interim receiver of a chain of gas stations; recovery of vehicles as interim receiver for a used car dealership where all assets were dissipated before the appointment; operating a major real estate developer with land holdings valued at over $100M; a Collingwood full-service resort; operating a 45-store chain of video stores; and operating a Yukon-based mining facility.
