Martin Cyr is a Trustee in Bankruptcy with Farber Financial Group.
His practice focuses on personal, small businesses and corporate insolvency and restructuring, distressed financial advisory services and corporate consultative advisory services and has been involved on a variety of Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA) engagements.
Martin joined Farber Financial Group in 2007. In 2009, Martin successfully completed all the requirements and became a licensed Trustee in Bankruptcy. Martin’s practice primarily focuses on helping owners, senior managers and professionals with their financial issues. Martin’s goal is to help these individuals comes to an equitable resolution with all their creditors. Often, Martin is called upon to work directly with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to help these people avoid bankruptcy and negotiate a reduction in their tax debts.
Prior to joining Farber Financial Group, Martin worked in midmarket full-service accounting and advisory firms in Ottawa and Halifax as a bankruptcy administrator. Responsible for working with debtors on consumer proposals and personal bankruptcies along with the general administration of estates, Martin gained significant insight into helping clients solve financial issues.
