Biography

Robert B. Gallop is a key member the Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) practice with Farber Financial Group.

Rob’s practice focuses on providing companies with an interim CFO that can deliver decades of financial expertise in an instant who can help arrange financing, improve processes, determine budgeting, conduct risk assessments and assist with your overall strategic planning.

The practice provides companies with decisive, hands-on interim CFOs to stabilize and guide a company through the typically lengthy executive search process and to help assure a smooth transition to new leadership. Rob offers clients highly skilled interim CFOs that can hit the ground running in order to deliver the results you need. Whether clients need to replace an existing financial executive, are looking to add greater depth to your organization, or simply want short-term help to get through a critical juncture, an interim CFO may be the solution.

Rob joined Farber Financial Group in 2002, from an industry leading software company where he held the position of Vice President and CFO. Prior, he was Vice President, Administration of one of Canada’s leading commercial real estate companies. From 1994-1997, Rob was the interim CFO of a downtown Toronto corporate commercial law firm, which arose as a result of his position as CFO of another Toronto-based law firm from 1988-1993, and prior postings with both law firms and accounting firms.

At Farber Financial Group, Rob has served as interim CFO for numerous companies, including publicly listed companies such as: Imperial PlasTech Inc. (IPG:TSX)  GPJ Ventures (predecessor to Peak Gold Limited which merged with New Gold Inc. (NDG:TSX)).

While Rob has serviced clients engaged in a wide range of manufacturing, sales and service businesses, his preferred area for applying his expertise is with companies undergoing periods of transition, in either start-up mode requiring new financing, manpower and business models; or change of or additions to management caused by changing circumstance and/or external pressure.

Rob is a results-driven executive with a full range of proven financial and operational abilities.  He possesses strong financial skills and analytical skills that are complemented with equally strong team-building and process abilities in dealing with people, issues, and objectives.  He is a strategic thinker and effective at implementing change, in particular during periods of crisis.
